Financial Policy
Quick Guide
At Children’s Therapy Solutions (CTS), our goal is to provide excellent care while being transparent and fair about financial expectations. Below is a simplified overview of how billing and payments work.

Insurance & Coverage
-
We are happy to verify your insurance and submit claims on your behalf; however, insurance coverage is never guaranteed.
-
Families are responsible for understanding their benefits, including deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and authorization requirements.
-
If insurance denies or partially pays a claim, the remaining balance becomes the family’s responsibility.
Medicaid & Managed Care Plans
CTS is in-network with:
-
Aetna Better Health
-
Cook Children’s Health Plan (CCHP)
-
Wellpoint
Some Medicaid plans include a patient responsibility amount, which is due at the time of service.
If your child’s Medicaid coverage changes, becomes inactive, or cannot be verified, you may be responsible for the cost of visits until coverage is confirmed.
If a service is not covered by Medicaid, or if you choose to receive services as private pay, a Private Pay Agreement must be signed before services are provided.
Card on File & Payments
-
A payment method may be required on file, even for Medicaid families.
-
Payments are automatically processed at check-in based on your insurance’s estimated responsibility.
-
If a payment cannot be processed, your child’s next appointment cannot occur until payment is made.
-
Repeated declined payments may result in additional fees.
Billing & Balances
-
Balances are due when billed.
-
Accounts with unpaid balances may be placed on a temporary hold.
-
Continued nonpayment may result in removal from the schedule or referral to collections.
-
If insurance later pays after you’ve paid, your account will be credited or refunded.
Insurance Changes
-
Families must notify CTS immediately of any insurance changes.
-
Failure to update insurance information may result in charges for services already provided.
