YOUR CHILD MAY NEED PHYSICAL THERAPY IF HE/SHE:

  • Has a neurological, genetic, or developmental diagnosis affecting movement

  • Uses or may benefit from braces or mobility equipment

  • Is recovering from an injury or surgery

  • Has limited range of motion or joint stiffness

  • Has poor posture or difficulty maintaining upright positions

  • Struggles with running, jumping, climbing, or keeping up with peers

  • Has low muscle tone, weakness, or stiffness

  • Walks on toes, has an unusual walking pattern, or tires easily

  • Has difficulty with balance, coordination, or frequent falls

  • Is delayed in rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, or walking
