Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders in pediatric populations.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's specific needs, incorporating evidence-based speech therapy strategies.

  • Deliver engaging therapy sessions that promote communication development and improve functional language skills.

  • Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and medical professionals to coordinate care and support early intervention efforts.

  • Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment approaches to maximize outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Stay informed about advances in speech therapy techniques, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric care.

  • We also emphasize and stress educating and empowering parents with strategies and techniques to reinforce therapy goals at home and in daily activities.

 

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in school settings or pediatric clinics is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy with a focus on pediatrics and early intervention programs.

  • Knowledge of physiology related to speech production, swallowing mechanisms, and anatomy is essential.

  • Familiarity with patient assessment tools and diagnostic procedures for communication disorders.

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required to effectively serve diverse populations.

  • Understanding of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology enhances clinical effectiveness.

  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams to support comprehensive patient care is advantageous.
