Responsibilities
-
Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders in pediatric populations.

Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's specific needs, incorporating evidence-based speech therapy strategies.

Deliver engaging therapy sessions that promote communication development and improve functional language skills.

Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and medical professionals to coordinate care and support early intervention efforts.

Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment approaches to maximize outcomes.

Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.

Stay informed about advances in speech therapy techniques, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric care.

We also emphasize and stress educating and empowering parents with strategies and techniques to reinforce therapy goals at home and in daily activities.
Experience
-
Prior experience working with children in school settings or pediatric clinics is highly desirable.

Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy with a focus on pediatrics and early intervention programs.

Knowledge of physiology related to speech production, swallowing mechanisms, and anatomy is essential.

Familiarity with patient assessment tools and diagnostic procedures for communication disorders.

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required to effectively serve diverse populations.

Understanding of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology enhances clinical effectiveness.
