
Medical Billing Specialist - Full Time
Job Overview
We’re seeking a Medical Billing Specialist who knows how to work smarter, not harder to join our pediatric therapy clinic for a full-time position. At Children’s Therapy Solutions, we’ve invested in a powerful AI-driven EMR that automates much of the billing process giving you more time to focus on claim accuracy, revenue flow, and patient account resolution. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical billing and coding within pediatric healthcare settings, with expertise in managing claims, collections, and patient account resolutions.

Core Responsibilities

Review and process claims for speech, feeding, and occupational therapy appointments in compliance with HIPAA and each payer’s guidelines.

Identify and correct potential claim issues before submission.

Implement data from the AR aging report to ensure timely follow up and resolution of unpaid claims through reprocessing or appeals.

Reconcile ERAs, EOBs, and EOPs to ensure proper payer reimbursement.

Post payments and adjustments accurately to patient accounts.

Provide clear, professional communication with insurance companies, patients, and internal departments to resolve billing issues.
Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in medical billing; therapy or pediatric experience strongly preferred (pay rates will depend on previous experience)

Solid understanding of Medicaid, commercial insurance plans, and managed care policies

Skilled in claim reprocessing, denial management, secondary billing, and appeals

Comfortable using EMRs and clearinghouses to process claims

Exceptional attention to detail and problem solving skills

Organized, reliable, and excellent at documentation and communication

Confident in handling sensitive financial conversations with clarity and professionalism
