Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments to identify areas to target sensory processing, fine motor skills, handwriting skills, self-care skills (ADLs) in pediatric patients.

  • Develop and implement personalized therapy plans tailored to each child's unique needs, using evidence-based techniques.

  • Deliver engaging and creative therapy sessions that promote skills required to achieve goals within the current plan of care.

  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support patient progress.

  • Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment approaches to maximize outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Stay informed about advances in occupational therapy techniques relevant to pediatric care.

  • We also emphasize and stress educating and empowering parents with strategies and techniques to reinforce therapy goals at home and in daily activities.


Experience Requirements & Preferences

  • A current license to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas. (If out of state, you must be willing to obtain a TX License)

  • A playful and imaginative approach to therapy, with the ability to transform everyday tasks into exciting adventures.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with children and their families.

  • Knowledge of sensory integration techniques, fine motor skills development, and adaptive equipment.

  • Creativity, flexibility, and thinking outside the box to engage and motivate children.

  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams to support comprehensive patient care is advantageous.

  • Prior experience working with children in school settings or pediatric clinics is highly desirable.
